Resource Type: Games, Parent Resource
Ages: 2-4
Topics: Reading and Language Arts — Reading, Alphabet Knowledge
Commentary: Elmo is such a character! He makes everyone laugh. In this game children can make him laugh or prompt him to name letters and numbers by hitting a key on the keyboard. As a child practices using a keyboard he or she can practice letter recognition. If a letter key is hit, Elmo names the letter and says the name of (and shows) an object that begins with that letter. When a child hits a number key, that number of objects appears on the screen and Elmo counts them. Hitting the other keyboard keys will prompt Elmo to laugh, and laugh, and laugh, so be prepared to laugh, too. It's catching! (author/nmb) ..
